Nokia mobiles have never disappointed its consumers and offered them with huge variety of handsets, be it the very affordable Nokia 1100 or the high-class smartphones Nokia Lumia range. The Nokia Lumia range of mobiles is certainly impressive devices released by Nokia and one of the most competitive and affordable handset in this range is Nokia Lumia 610. This smartphone is certainly a ‘smart’ phone, which impresses one from its features and its stunning looks. Starting with some major highlights, Nokia Lumia 610 comes with 3.7 inches of TFT capacitive touch-screen display with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels and with a facility of multi-touch. The screen has been made from Corning Gorilla Glass, which thereby makes it scratch resistant. Playing games of this touch-screen is certainly fabulous and viewing images and video on this device is a delight for all the users. From the touch-screen display, let’s talk about its processor. The smartphone sports an 800 MHz of powerful processor that has been powered by Microsoft Windows Phone 7.5 Mango operating system. Installing Lumia 610 with Windows Phone 7.5 Mango software is certainly a bold move by Nokia as the global mobile market is being solely dominated by Android OS.
The camera of Nokia Lumia 610 is also impressive. The smartphone features a remarkable 5 megapixels of rear camera with facilities like LED flash, autofocus, face detection and geo-tagging that helps in enhancing the images and video quality to large extent. However, the device lacks the secondary camera, which would have facilitated the users during making a video call. Next on the list is its internal memory storage. The device comes with 8 GB of in built memory space but if you wish to expand this memory further then it would be disappointed. The device doesn’t come with a micro-SD card slot, therefore expansion of internal memory space is not possible. But the phone does come with 256 MB of RAM that support the OS to run swiftly and without any trouble. The internet browsing on Nokia Lumia 610 is also simple and elegant. The users can connect to internet via Wi-Fi and GPRS/EDGE connectivity and the HTML 5 browser further enhances the entire web browsing experience on the device. Furthermore, the users can transfer data to other devices through Bluetooth and micro-USB port. The price of the device has been kept competitive to survive in the thriving mobile market of the world.

Overall Review

The global mobile industry is currently being dominated by Android smartphones, but to challenge Android, Nokia has come up a brand new Windows Phone 7 range of smartphones, called Nokia Lumia devices. One of the most prominent devices amongst the Lumia range is Nokia Lumia 610. This handset justifies its tag of ‘smartphone’. The device has got all that, which is necessary to be present in a high-class smartphone these days. Starting with the processor, Nokia Lumia 610 is powered by a decent processor running at the speed of 800 MHz and sports Microsoft Windows Phone 7.5 Mango operating system. The 3.7 inches of TFT capacitive touch-screen display is impressive while the internal memory storage of 8 GB is sufficient. However, the device doesn’t feature micro-SD card slot to expand the memory, which is a sad part here. But what will cheer you up are the connectivity features, which comprise of GPRS/EDGE support, Wi-Fi, micro-USB port and Bluetooth. The camera department scores high marks as the 5 megapixels of rear camera with facilities like LED flash, autofocus and geo-tagging capture images and record videos of superb quality. Sadly, Nokia Lumia 610 misses out on the secondary camera, but it could be excused for once. But if the users are looking for making video calls, then they might face a bit of difficulty as without secondary it won’t be easy to make video calls. But, apart from this, Nokia Lumia 610 is an inspiring smartphone, which could literally give a tough competition to other Android devices being sold in the global mobile bazaar.

Nokia Lumia 610 features a very inspiring 5 megapixels of camera with facilities like geo-tagging, LED Flash, face detection and autofocus. The camera also has the capability to record 720p videos at the rate of 30 fps. However, the only thing lacking in the camera section is the secondary or front snapper. If Nokia mobiles would have provided Lumia 610 with a secondary camera, it would have become easy for the user to snap self-portraits and make video calls.

Internet support

Nokia Lumia 610 is a smartphone, which has been endowed with every necessary feature, which should be present in a smartphone these days. The internet browsing on Nokia Lumia 610 is smooth, easy and sleek. Internal and External Memory

Nokia Lumia 610 comes with a whopping 8 GB of internal memory support, which is pretty much sufficient for the user to store huge amount of data, such as music files, video files, images, and other notes. The 256 MB of RAM allows the OS to run smoothly and store system files on this. Nokia Mobiles hasn’t provided Nokia Lumia 610 with a micro SD card slot, which is the major drawback.
